Privacy Policy
A practical summary of what MailOps processes and what stays in your browser.
Information you may submit
You can enter domains and DKIM selectors to run email DNS checks. You can also paste raw email headers into the Header Analyzer for diagnostic review.
Email Header Analyzer
Email headers can contain personal or sensitive information, including email addresses, IP addresses, message identifiers, internal hostnames, server names, and routing information. Only paste headers you are authorised to analyse.
MailOps processes pasted headers to produce the analysis shown in your browser. Recent Lookups do not store the pasted header content.
What the app stores
MailOps stores Recent Lookups in your browser only to help you reopen recent checks on the same device. The saved entries contain limited lookup context, such as the tool, domain or selector where applicable, status, and timestamp.
You can remove individual Recent Lookup entries or clear the whole history directly from the homepage on that device.
Recent Lookups is not stored in a MailOps database or saved server-side by the application.
Give feedback
If you use Give feedback, MailOps sends your feedback category, message, the page you submitted it from, submission time, and any contact email you choose to provide to the MailOps feedback mailbox. Microsoft services are used to deliver your feedback. Your lookup inputs or results, DNS records, DKIM keys, and pasted email headers are not automatically included.
Cookies and analytics
MailOps uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and performance, such as page views, visits, referral sources, browser and device information, and page performance.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage for analytics. The analytics are used to understand how MailOps is used and to help improve the service, not for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
MailOps does not use analytics to identify individual visitors or associate website activity with submitted lookup data.
MailOps does not currently set application cookies. Theme preference and Recent Lookups are stored in browser storage instead.
DNS, infrastructure, and service providers
DNS-based tools may query public DNS infrastructure in order to resolve records. That means domain lookups are not purely local to your browser.
MailOps does not use advertising or analytics providers to process your submitted diagnostic data. Cloudflare Web Analytics processes aggregate website usage and performance information separately from the diagnostic data you submit. Public DNS resolution, hosting, and other infrastructure providers may process technical request information as part of normal operation. Microsoft Graph processes feedback submissions so they can be delivered to the MailOps feedback mailbox.
Diagnostic guidance
MailOps is provided for diagnostic guidance. Results should be reviewed and verified before making production email or DNS changes.
